SOLAMOR

Solamor is a brand founded in 1946 by Georges Lissac, in a France still marked by the post-war years yet already looking toward the future. Its ambition was simple: to offer eyewear wearers elegant, high-quality solutions adapted to all visual needs, without compromising comfort.
The name comes from Soleil and Amor. A direct, generous word that expresses the intention to accompany the gaze with care.
During the 1950s and 1960s, Solamor established itself naturally. Figures of the New Wave, athletes, images from the Tour de France… Archives show Belmondo, Godard, and Jacques Anquetil wearing Solamor. The brand became part of an era defined by freedom, creativity, and collective momentum.
